Lemmy is a self-hosted, federated social link aggregation and discussion forum, made up of many different communities focused on different topics. Users post text, links, or images, and discuss them with others — with voting bringing the most interesting items to the top. Think of it as an open-source, decentralized Reddit alternative.

Step-by-Step Way to Create Account and discussion forum on join-lemmy.org

Step 1:- Go to the home page of join-lemmy.org and click on the option in Join Lemmy-Org.

Step 2:- the the sign-up page will open and then fill the form with the CAPTCHA and click on the sign-up button

Step 3:- Then wait for the approval through the admin of the site

Step 4:- Find or join a community From your home instance, click “Communities” to browse all communities on that instance and subscribe to the ones you want, so they show up in your feed. You can also find communities hosted on other instances.

Step 5:- Inside a community, click the post/create button, add a title, then either paste a link, write a text post, or upload an image — this works the same regardless of which instance you or the community are hosted on.
